PROCESSING METHOD - Washed
Grown by Marco Ramos at Finca La Laguna. This coffee was picked at optimum ripeness, pulped and left to ferment under water for 24 hours in ceramic tanks.
The coffee was then gently washed and placed on raised beds for 14 days until the ideal moisture content was reached.
Marco inherited Finca La Laguna from his father Leonardo, when he passed away.
Caturra is a natural hybrid of Bourbon but was further developed for wide-spread cultivation by the Alcides Carvalho Coffee Center (Centro de Cafe) of the Instituto Agronomico (IAC) in Brazil. The cultivar has been responsible for profound changes and improvement in the coffee industry worldwide.
