Finca de Berman is a quality-driven coffee project in Pangalengan, West Java, at 1,600 meters above sea level. Founded under Kawitan Coffee, it began as a small farm working with local growers and the Department of Forestry to improve cultivation and processing standards.
Planted with Ateng Super, Lini S795, and Kartika, the farm focuses on innovation through methods like washed, honey, natural, and experimental fermentations.
Named after the nearby village of Berman, it has gained recognition in the Indonesia Cup of Excellence for its clean, complex, and expressive coffees that showcase the best of West Java’s highlands.

MOSTO WASHED
Mosto washed is a variation of the traditional washed process, where coffee is fermented not just in clean water, but with the addition of mosto- a liquid from previous fermentations that’s rich in natural yeasts and bacteria. This helps guide the fermentation more precisely, encouraging the development of desirable compounds like lactic acids and fruity esters. The result is a cup that retains the clarity of a washed coffee, but with added depth, sweetness, and a more expressive, fruit-forward character

ATENG SUPER & LINI S795
This lot brings together two distinct varietals: Ateng Super and Lini S795. Ateng Super, a compact Catimor-derived variety widely grown in Indonesia, is known for its resilience and ability to produce structured, often fuller-bodied cups with herbal and cocoa-driven notes.
In contrast, Lini S795- one of Indonesia’s most celebrated selections, originally developed from Indian Kent genetics- offers greater aromatic complexity, with bright acidity and layered fruit and floral characteristics.
Together, they create a balanced and expressive profile, where depth meets clarity in the cup
