PEKERAU HILLS

Pekerau Hills is the world's southernmost coffee farm and the first commercial coffee plantation of its kind in New Zealand. Established in 1998 with just a handful of coffee trees, the farm has grown through decades of patience, curiosity and a belief that exceptional coffee could be cultivated in one of the world's most unlikely growing regions.

Owned by Rob Schluter and Marie-Elodie Proust, Pekerau Hills is driven by a shared passion for innovation and a deep respect for the land. In 2014, they introduced the rare Arabica Laurina variety after recognising its unique suitability to New Zealand's climate.

Today, Pekerau Hills produces exceptionally limited harvests with a flavour profile found nowhere else in the world- a reflection of the farm's unique environment and the pioneering spirit of the people behind it.
